Eating Greens, Fruits, and Meat

When it comes to living a healthy life, it is very important to select healthy food. A healthy food plan may contain greens, fruits, meat, and juices.

Greens and Fruits

Greens and fruits are rich in fiber. They speed up your digestion and keep you full for a longer period. They also contain different types of minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron, sodium, and vitamins that keep you energized and healthy. Most of all, they are low in calorie food that keeps you safe from gaining weight. However, make sure you eat fresh fruits and vegetables instead of buying frozen products.

Meat

Meat is a good source of protein. Protein is very important to build and repair body tissues. Moreover, protein also produces antibodies to fight various diseases. Therefore, you should add it to your diet. In addition, it also contains selenium, iron, and zinc. Zinc regulates the metabolism, iron creates hemoglobin in your blood, and selenium breaks down the chemicals and fats in your body.

However, do not eat meat daily. Eating it three to four times a week is more than enough for you to stay healthy.

Lentils

Lentils are very nutritious and low in calories. They contain soluble fiber that decreases the cholesterol level in blood. Lentils are also rich in magnesium and folate, which are beneficial for the heart. They also keep you from getting constipation and other disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome.

A Harvard study revealed that women who took lentil two to three times a week had 34 percent lower risk of developing heart disease.

Fresh Juices

Drink fresh juices as it keeps you fresh and washes away toxins, helps you lose weight, boosts the immune system, and keeps you energized. However, add a little exercise so that your body does not retain water in your body.
